A rainy season or a rainy day is very different from other days or other seasons. It holds a great difference in people’s minds. Many people wait with different reasons for rainy season eagerly. After rain, people gets quite relief from too hot season. It relaxes our mind, soothes and soul. There is no age limit for enjoying the rainy season. People of all age enjoy this rainy season with equal joy. Thus, rainy days are very important due to many reasons.

It is also important for farmers. Rain gives a new life to plants, grass, trees, animals, birds, human beings and to our food which we eat. Rain is especially important for Indian farmers as they need more water for growing and cultivation of crops. The food we eat like all cereals, grains, pulses, fruits and vegetables. This season greatly bless the farmer. They can sow and cultivate their fields during this season. They are happy and they hope for having good crops. The climate becomes cool and crops grow very fast and healthily during this season.

The rainwater washes away the streets of villages and cities and therefore makes it clean. It also fills the tanks, wells, rivers and ponds. If there is no rain or very less rain any year, then it causes very much suffering to people, animals, birds, plants and human beings. When there is no rain or very little rain any year, it leads to drought. Drought is a period of time when there is no water anywhere and the humans, birds, plants and animals die due to lack of water. Also during drought there is very high temperature and hot sun.

But when the rain is too much it leads to flood. Flood means overflowing of water on dry lands from the water bodies near it. When all the dams, lakes, rivers and ponds get full, the water forcefully comes on the areas near it and everything gets destroyed. It also damages life of living beings. Also the diseases spread like diarrhoea, cholera, typhoid, leptospirosis, hepatitis. So, the rain should be in limit, not more and not less.

Now, let’s talk more about the rainy season. The rainy season comes after summer. It starts in June and ends in August. It brings pleasant weather and excitement for people. This weather uplifts the mood of kids. They go out to play, jump in puddles and make paper boats to float in water. It is very enjoyable to jump in the big and deep puddles. When it rains too much we can observe frogs jumping here and there. It is so enjoying making paper boats and floating them in water. Sometimes, at some places after it rains, there is a beautiful and colourful rainbow in the bright sky.

So, enjoy the rainy season completely, but do not be in dirty water for much time. The germs in that puddles can spread disease. Enjoy a safe monsoon.
