SPEECH ON ENVIRONMENT DAY

I wish you a very refreshing morning to dear teachers, principle and my dear friends. You all must know about today’s day. Yes, today is environment day. So, on this special day, I would like to give a short and sweet speech. Environment day is celebrated every year all around the world on 5 thJune. It is celebrated for creating awareness among people to preserve our beautiful nature and environment. It is celebrated in schools, offices, factories, etc.

Our government is also putting a lot of effort in saving and preserving our environment. We completely depend on our environment for everything. We get all the useful items from environment. But, then also people destroy the environment. We are smart enough that we know about the situation and conditions of our environment. But we still remain silent and spoil it. Here are some ways to save environment and celebrate this day:

• Throw all the garbage in dustbins only.
• Use jute or cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
• Grow at least one tree anywhere.
• Recycle the items which are possible.
• Save water and electricity.
• Do not waste paper.
• Avoid the use of cars and vehicles in small distances.
• Do not spit anywhere.

These were the ways to save and make our environment more beautiful. On environment day you must grow a tree. If you even don’t grow, then do not destroy the trees which were already there. So, I would like to end my speech by a request for involving in saving environment and do the things which are possible for environment.
